(per 2 caps)
  1. Probiotics (Bacillus/Lactobacillus):
    10 Billion CFU
The “good bacteria,” living microorganisms projecting health benefits for their host—namely, digestive systems. They’re quantified by the number of colony forming units (CFUs), a term that describes the probiotic’s ability to reproduce. The higher the CFU, the better the effect of the probiotic on the body.
  2. Prebiotics (FOS):
    100 mg
This is essentially the food source for probiotics. They are long-chain sugars that encourage the growth of good bacteria in the gut. It’s important to have a high-level CFU probiotic that accompanies prebiotics.
  3.  Enzymes
    Amylase: 3750 SKB/g
    Protease: 5625 HUT/g
    Lipase: 750 FIP/g
    Cellulase: 600 CU/g
    Bromelain: 22.5 GDU/g
    Papain: 3.75 TU/mg
These work to break down nutrients. Some molecules are harder to break down for dogs & cats (for instance, the cellulose found in plant-based foods). Digestive enzymes break down large molecules into smaller, more usable pieces that can be utilized effectively by the digestive tract. Microflora Plus contains digestive enzymes that are specifically geared towards a carnivore’s needs, including elevated levels of amylase and cellulase.

(4) Herbs (Cinnamon, Ginger, and Licorice): 270 mg

These soothe GI distress naturally, without interfering with the probiotics and digestive enzymes already at work.
